Ok I would like to make a new style that will do the following.

Before http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8274/beforeuc1.jpg
After http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/8957/afterne2.jpg

I currently can make the gradient overlay do the left or the bottom. I can also make it do reflection, which I don't want.

I doesn't seem possible to add two gradient overlays to one layer, if there is I missed it. I also don't know how to make a new style for the gradient (radial, reflective, star and so on).

I want a style because I need to apply this to many pictures of different sizes. I hope I don't have to do them all manually.

I also assume if a style can't be made, I might be able to automate this. Unfortunately I have almost no experience with making my own automations.

Any help will be appreaciated, until then I will see if I can figure it out on my own.

Thanks.

EDIT: I tried making an action for it, but unfortunately it does it at the same size I originally did it in. Now that's not to say it can't be done by recording actions, but it certainly wasn't done right by me.

not sure about the styles, but i think making actions is pretty easy (i've done very simple ones).
- load in your pic, set your gradient to white -> transparent or whatever
- in the Actions palette, select new action, name it etc.
- on your pic, do your two gradients (i'd recommed practicing before recording the Action so you can fine tune exactly how much to do etc). each one should be recorded in the Action.
- click Stop.
now, open your next pic, and run the action, it should do the exact same thing - i presume you'd have to have pics the same size etc to make sure the effects re consistant.

Ya, I tried the actions. Unfortunately it would require pictures being the same as you mentioned. Thank you though.

have a go at using the Inner Shadow option on your layer style - if you give it a huge distance and mess w/ the size/angle a bit you can juggle it to be offset enough that only tow of the sides show, might be enough for what you need...?

You may create several gradient-fill layers instead, using the "shape" layer as clipping mask:

There is "Style" menu in "Layer Style" and "Fill Layer" dialogs:
