I know how to make borders.. U make a new layer and then stroke rite? but whenever i make a new layer, its transparent. and the stroke wont work. and when i fill it with another color, it covers everything. the image blah watever. I dont know any other way to put borders... ive been searching tutorials but none seems to help me. please help...:( |

The layer needs to be transparant, because if it isn't you wont be able to see the layers below. Make a new layer, use the Marquee tool to run a selection, then the stroke function will be availible. You can then use the magic want so make a selection on the outside of the stroke, and then fill that with a colour. Hope this helps. |

You could also choose Select > All on the top, empty layer, then choose Edit > Stroke. In the Stroke dialog, set the stroke location to "Inside" |

Yes, you just need any kind of selection... before you can use the stroke function
