crop tool acting weird

my rectangular crop tool is now rounded on the corners and i can't get it to make a rectangle with square corners. this happened once before but i don't remember the fix. thanks, boyd.

Wait, what are you using? the selection tool? Or the one labeled under/with the custom shapes tool??
