Weird Sunburst

Ive been trying to recreate a logo i found on the internet, it features a weird sunburst effect, i know how to do the text, the sunburst is the only thing im confused about  so, whats the trick in making that sunburst, thanks a bunch guys

you make it pixel by pixel it takes a while but its worth it. that or lots of gradients.
