Weird Sunburst

Ive been trying to recreate a logo i found on the internet, it features a weird sunburst effect, i know how to do the text, the sunburst is the only thing im confused about
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

so, whats the trick in making that sunburst, thanks a bunch guys

you make it pixel by pixel it takes a while but its worth it. that or lots of gradients.
