Hi guys, I messed with photoshop cs2, now I have photoshop cs3. When I try and use a brush tool, no matter what the brush is, it only brushes white. It will not brush a color I want it to color. If you have any idea of how to fix this please post and tell me how. Thank you.

...Did oyu try black? If black works, then you are probably using a grayscale format instead of RGB color format. If that isnt the reason, do you know to change the fg color to the color you want?

Tip: Always use layers.

Double click on the Background in the flyout box. It will change to a layer1.

Hope it helps

No that didn't work man, I can fill any color I want, but when I have to use brushes, it will not brush in a color, it only brushes in white. Idk what the problem could be. Like is there options that need to be changed? It shows in the history that it's working, but it just won't brush in a color, only white. =/

try going to image, mode and looking to see if you are set to rgb. you may find bw checked. if so that may do it. or you may be using the mask tool. good luck, boyd.

Just an idea: Is your brush mode in the Tool Options bar set to anything other than 'normal'? If so, set it to 'normal' and try again.
