Flatten with Blending Modes

Does anybody know how to flatten an image with multiple layers, some of which are in blending modes other than "Normal" without loosing the effect of that mode?

...The only way I would do it without losing the blending mode settings is to make the layers you don't want together invisible (clickthe eye thingy) and then make a new layer, Image>Apply Image. that should do it. Then make the other layers visible again.
