I have the following image: That is pretty much just want I need, expect it's in slightly wrong colour - the specific thing I want is two different versions, in the following colours:
and the second
How is it possible to use PS to replace the current maroony colour with those I need? I've found the colour replace tool but this doesn't seem to help. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Ed Ludlow |

Ok, I can think of at least 4 different ways of doing this, all with their own advantages and disadvantages. The simplest way I can think of would be to use the magic wand selection tool. Make sure you tick "anti alias", untick "contiguous" and play around with the "tolerance" setting (around 30 should be good). Click on the maroon (any where), and that should give you a selection covering all the maroon. From here you can either fill directly on top of it, or you can create a new layer and fill in that (this is what I would recommend to avoid maroon edges), just make sure you put a blank white layer underneath it. Hope that helps, if not, post again and I'll post a different way to do it. |
