My gray is green? wtf |

Hey guys i havent used photoshop in a while but i whipped it out because i have a project to do, and well my gray is... like greenish, its retarded and it annoys the living hell out of me! Like if i save the file it comes out as a normal gray but within photoshop it is freaking greenish, its wierd, even if i import an image it comes in green! Ill show you a link of a couple things i think are odd, please help! Thanks so much in advance to anyone trying to help me! oh yeah first post! =D Oh and i tried reinstalling, didnt work. also my imageready's gray is fine but why is photoshop's colors so messged up, i havent done anything and it is like this. |

I think it is an issue with the theme installed on your pc

Thanks for the reply, sadly that was not the cause, I totaly agreed with you when i first read your post, so i shut down the StyleXp Service and changed my windows theme back to the default and opened photoshop, yet the color wheel still looked the same. Greenish looking gray.

*Start random ideas* You don't say what version of PS you are running but more often than not color shifts are caused by Photoshop's color managment. Go into your color pref's and set color Managment to "OFF"... see if that does anything. Your windows color profile will also sometimes clash with Photoshops color managment, so you can try using a different color profile... and see if that fixes it. Also, you may have something screwy in the PS prefs.... Try holding down ctr+shift+alt+W while launching PS... you'll be prompted to delete your prefs file tell it yes and then see what you've got. *end random ideas* |

Thank you~! i Went into my color pref, which i didnt know existed! this sucks i was looking all over photoshop forever for something like this, i cannot believe i missed it! i Changed the Preference from "North American Purpose 2" to "Monitor Color" and it worked! Thanks a ton bro. |
