You would think by now that I would be able to create a simple frame without bringing something in from Illustrator. I want to create a simple circle frame that I can use all the great photoshop tools on. Help. -Joey |

Hi Joey, Here is the simplest way: 1. Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer) 2. Convert the selection to border (Select > Modify > Border) 3. Choose a color and fill the selection with the Paint Bucket Tool The frame is almost ready; just decorate it to your taste: 4. Apply "Drop Shadow", "Bevel", or some other layer style(s) (Layer > Layer Style > ...) to imitate 3D effect. 5. Apply Texurizer (Filter > Texture > Texturizer) or some other filter to imitate more or less natural surface. 6. Use some color/tonal adjustment to your taste. Etc. |
