map creation help

Hi, I'm making a map and i need to know some map creation software i can get so it makes it easier cause i can't make the map in photoshop by myself since i'm not that skilled.

Any help would be awesome.

I don't know about map creation software...do they make that?

Anyway, I always do things like maps and illustrations in something like Illustrator or freehand. You have a lot more control over open paths in a vector application.

K I have no experience of it but my dad uses it (in his work) to highlight parts of maps to show difrent areas.
