5.5 and 6.0

I currently use Elements and am buying but should I get 5.5 or 6, i understand 6 is more expensive and 5.5 is harder to find, but are there any major changes in the interface or other features, and how much does the upgrade go for? Thanks.

You're not likely to find 5.5 for sale, unless there's a retailer that hasn't sent back stock for replacement with 6.x.

As for there being a price difference, well....5.5 might be cheaper, if you find it.

Just get 6.0.1 and be done with it. Lots of new and improved features over previous versions, particularly with the type engine and with vector objects.

go with v6. the interface is a little different from 5.5 and although its not a HUGE change, some things are moved around and it would be tough to learn on 5.5 then try to figure out where everything is on 6.
plus as Utopian said, there are some great new features on 6

I like 6.0.1 WAY better than 5.5 but that's just me. Go to www.sijun.com This guy does everything on photoshop 3.05 and a Wacom tablet. It really doesn't matter what version you get. Skill and creativity outperform the best of technology.
