Say for example I had an jpg thats 1024x1024 and I wanted to split it into 4 seperate files of 256x256. Is there any way to get photoshop to do this for me? I'm finding it pretty tedious doing it by hand as the pics I'm working with are considerably larger than in my example. Thanks for reading and any advice. |

1. Activate the Slice tool. 2. Right-click on the image and select "Divide Slice" 3. In "Divide Slice" dialog, set: Divide Horizontally into 2 slices; Divide Vertically into 2 slices. 4. Define optimization settings for every slice (in ImageReady use Optimize palette; in Photoshop - "Save for Web" dialog) |

Not sure if I should be posting here or starting a new thread. Is there a way to batch split images and save them with different names? Could anyone write me an action for it :-) or demo an action for me to copy? Thanks for any help anyone can provide. |

describe the images in question... One file with (2,4,8) photos in it? Do the have white space between them? If yes PS CS2 I know already has an automated function to make them all seperate images. You could then use an action to call that function and then scipt the save to name them sequentially. |
