I do photography as a small side job and it is vital that I figure out an answer to my problem immediatly considering I have to put this order in by tommorrow. Here it goes. I attempted to print some pictures but they must be too large(their file size) because when I printed them some of the people were cut out. I tried to crop it into a 4X5 layout but the picture doesnt fit. This is the one that they want a 5X7 in so how can I decrease the file size in order for the picture not to be too big to print the entire thing?

I must be missing something here. If you have the image (cropped, sized, whatever) to a physical size of 5 x 7 (inches) then it is 5 x 7. Select the crop tool and then in the options bar at the top of the screen type in the "physical size" and leave the resolution field blank. 2) IMAGE > IMAGE SIZE (insure "constrain proportions" and "Resample Image" is checked then adjust the numbers in either the width or height fields to get as close as you can to 5 x 7. If the media will accommodate 5 x 7 then everything should be right in your world. Can you explain a little more in depth if I am not answering your question? |
