Hi! I am using the photoshop 7.0 so I have two questions: 1) How do I make Megaman logo like this: 2) How do I remove Megaman logo and keep this red triangle and modified the text or whatsoever in it like above ? Thanks! Wink I know how to use the palette colors, thought. |

1) There are tons of "actions" available around the internet that are text effects, as well as, alot of actions that install with Photoshop. Try some of the default text effects you may even find something you like better. Look around the net at downloadable text effect actions. 2) A triangle is 3 clicks of the pen tool. I don't think I would spend time trying to remove the megaman from the triangle. Just draw a new one. Create a new layer above the image and click,click,click...... trace it with the pen too. |

Hi guys, The effects can be done in a few steps. Step 1. Use your Text tool and type the word you want nice and big. Step 2. Right Click on the layer, an options window will open. Choose > Rasterize Type (this will turn the word into pixels) Step 3. Top menu bar, Choose > Edit > Transform > Perspective. Move the grab handles until your happy with the look. Hit enter to commit. Step 4. Double Click the layer that the rasterized text is on, (To do this, double click the far right side of the layer, just before it ends.) A new dialog box will appear called Layer Style Step 5. Check the tick box - Gradient Overlay. AND!!! click on the name 'gradient overlay'. A mini field will open. Choose > Any effect and rotation angle you like. Tips: Click on the actual colors you see blending across the mini field. Another mini field will open. Step 6. Check the tick box - Stroke and click on the name 'stroke'. A mini field will open. Choose any color etc. Tip: There is a drop down box called 'Fill Type'. Choose > Gradient. Just with those options you can create an image like above, and as suggested, the red is just three pen tool clicks on an 'under' layer. Tips: Duplicate the text layer and apply different styles to it. Step 7. Hey, why not check them all, something will look good. Note: In PS, when you click on a 'field name' often a new mini field will open with more choices. Hope it helps, Billytea |

Hi Guys, Forgot to add, try using the little spinning wheel to adjust the angle of the blend. For a blended stroke. Choose Fill Type > Gradient. Step 6 above. This is a great tool and can be applied to lots of images, edges of canvas etc. Hope it helps, Billytea. |
