SEO software generally does not work. Good quality products, and a nice, well-designed site that people will actually want to buy from and link to will be much more effective.

I'd argue against it 'never working'. It might be a bit voo-doo ish and no one (never believe them if they do) can promise you top placements, but thinking about keywords and content and friendly URLS goes a long way to helping your site get noticed.

BTW SEO is not 'promotion' or 'advertising' your site. Its merely a way to enhance your search engine ranking on specific keywords.

Don't reply on SEO but don't discount it either.
