Issues with Grey

Straight into it, for some odd reason shades of grey have a purplish tint to them. I can only assume I did something to my color preferences in photoshop because they didnt always have the purple tint and when i open my pictures in another program the purple tint is gone. Whats wrong and how do I fix it?

you don't say what OS or version of PS you are running but more often than not color shifts are caused by Photoshop's color managment.
Go into your color pref's and set color Managment to "OFF"... see if that does anything.
