I am having trouble saving scanned images in a tiff file it just saves as a "file" with no other extension. I can't open it because I get a box with a red x that says it is not the right kind of document. I have not had this promlem before. Any suggestions?

Scanning directly to file or scanning into photoshop and then saving the file?
