I don' really know how to explain this.. but here it goes ;P I'm having problems with some of the things on photoshop stretching the page. Today, I was trying to add a splatter effect (filter > brush stroke > splatter), and when I went to the page, the window was too big, so I couldn't see the settings on the far right. I'm not sure if it's just my computer's screen size. Here's a screenshot if you're confused. :p http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3024/questionxj9.png ^ that's how far to the right of the page I can go. Anyone know how I can fix this? =P |

Increase your screen resolution. I assume you're at 800x600.. which is way too low to be efficently working in Photoshop in the first place. The minimum size the filter browser window will shrink to is 907px in width, so you're getting shorted 107 pixels, which is why that's happening. 800x600 is no longer the resolution standard, it's now 1024x768 if you're on a CRT monitor and 1280x1024 on most flat panels. Time to get with the times |

So can the resolution be changed in photoshop? Or does it have to do with my screen? Haha.. I'm not very bright when it comes to computers.

No your resolution has to be changed in Windows.. outside of photoshop and will affect everything, not just photoshop. It will make everything on your screen a bit smaller and give you more room to work with. Right click on an empty spot on your desktop and go to Properties. Click the settings tab. Drag the screen resolution slider until it reaches 1024x768 (or 1280x1024 if you use a flat panel monitor) and click Apply. If everything looks OK, click OK. That's it. You can increase it even more if you want but everything will get smaller and smaller as you increase your resolution. |
