Photoshop freeze when trying to open files

Photoshop CS2 on OSX 10.4.8
It wont open any files, it freezes everytime and I have to force it to close.
Have tried everything, uninstalled and deleted all Photoshop files, still wont work. I can open files in Image Ready but i need to open in Photoshop, can anyone help me?

First download and install the 9.02 update from Adobe....

That may or may not fix it cause it sounds like an extension conflict.

Have you tryed starting with only base extensions? (download the update and install it before you go thru all this)

If you can start up on base extensions and then it will open files you have to start disabling extensions one by one till you find the conflict.

Once you have found the conflicting extension, try putting a ~ or * in front of the name to have it load in a different order.
