this question is a vague one.... im looking for a filter that will give me that 60's movie poster feel. like the ols james bond posters that have minimal design and the colors look almost stamped on. anyone know what i am talking about????? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: |

image > adjust > Posterize Render clouds and then posterize. It could work. |

Aha - I know what you mean. The best way to do this accurately is to trace the shapes with the pen tool - and save the paths. You can use Illustrator for this too. You then fill the paths wih flat carefully chosen colors. This kind of "retro" effect is quite cool and you see it on a lot of sites - easy to translate it into Flash too! If its too much work like that you can try the Photoshop "cutout" filter. It's in the "artistic" set. This will automatically create flat areas similar (but slightly better) than posterise. You can then use select color range to select and alter the colors you want (using hue/saturation) Good luck |
