This is the 50th software issue I've had with Adobe's products. I downloaded the Photoshop CS2 Try Out, and I'm already getting WEIRD problems with it. When I try to create a new document I get errors, and then I'm told "Scratch discs are full". Yes, English PLEASE! I don't want to have to read some crazy computer language no one can comprehend. So, I tried changing the dimensions of the document and I didn't get the first message but still got the "SCRATCH DISKS" error. Now, sometimes it'll open a new document without error, but then when I try to change mode from RGB to Indexed I get some "No Clipboard" error. Also, it won't let me PASTE any image into Photoshop--all of 'File's' options are grayed-out. Someone please explain to me the problems I'm experiencing. |

I believe you want to create a new 450x450 pixel document instead of inches? Basically what PS is telling you is that, there is not enough physical disk space on your harddisk to create a document of that enormous size. Notice at the right bottom corner it says that the physical file size would be 5.87Gb. 450x450 inches is just huge. Thats a 1406.25ft size document. Just change the unit size, should fix it. Just to explain what scratch disks are, they are temporary files of the document you're working on until you save and close that document/photoshop. As for the Indexed mode part, you're limited to what you can do to an image/photo in that mode. To get full access to all the options, switch back to RGB or CMYK. |
