hi, i'm new to photoshop and need some help.
Ok, we're willing to "help" Yup, I figure there are several of us here that could get visually VERY close the that look. Ok, this is where you lost me... You are new to photoshop, granted, but if you actually want to be able to do anything in photoshop it will take "doing" it. I doubt seriously you'll find someone to actually "make" this for you but I and several others here will be glad to "help" you create it. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but the title to your thread implied you needed help. Then I read it and it turns out what you really want is for someone to do the work for you. Again, I'll be glad to help you through creating this, but I will not serve it up to you on a platter. |

OK, Member Basically you need to go ahead and set your background color in Photoshop to the color you would like. So fill a layer with whatever color or an image as they have on the Vista site. Now use the round cornered rectangle shape tool to make the background of the navigation. This will make a new shape layer. Use white for the color of the rectangle. After drawing the rectangle you'll need to Hit D on the keyboard and click the "add layer mask" button on the layers pallet then select the gradient tool. Drag the gradient from the top of the rectangle to the bottom. this should make the bottom of the rectangle fade. Now CTR+ click the rectangle layer to make a selection around the rectangle. EDIT>STROKE color = white width = 2px position = center You should have something like this: Let me know when you get there and we'll move on. |
