Okay, I feel really stupid asking this question. Really, I do. Hopefully, someone can point me in the right direction... First of all, I am not entirely new to Adobe Photoshop, however, I have never quite taken the time to learn its full capabilities. And I am sick and tired of using these stupid crappy no-name fly-by-night programs designed for WYSIWYG banner-makers. Argh! ;-) So, I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2, editing the banners via ImageReady My question is: How do I add frames to the banner that I am making? I know how to duplicate the same frame while in ImageReady, but I want a slogan 1 in frame 1, slogan 2 in frame 2, a logo in frame 3, and so on. Somebody, anybody? (Was that a stupid question or what?) ;-) Thanks!! |

There is no such thing as a stupid question. If you don't know ask someone. Now about the banners... When you say "frames", do you mean animation frames? As in you want the banner to animate through slogan 1, slogan 2 logo? |

Hey bud, Thank you for responding, I really appreciate it! In some people's eyes, some questions are stupid, but we all got where we are today, by doing "stupid" things. LOL As for my question. Yes, I am attempting to animate the banner, where frame 1 would have a slogan, frame 2 would have a different one, and so on. Make sense now? There has to be a way to add a new frame to the end of frame 1, and so on, and place different text into each frame. But how do I do that? What step am I missing? PS. I am doing this in ImageReady. |

Ok, in imageready What you need to do is layer your image where you have the background layer and then a layer for each of the things you'll be animating through. Now make only the layers visible that you want visible at the start of the animation. (ie the background and slogan 1) Now go WINDOW>ANIMATION to get the animation pallet up in the animation pallet you'll see 1 icon of your image... thats your first state In that animation pallet click the "duplicate current frame" button. that will make a second icon Now go to the layers pallet and make only the background and Slogan 2 visible CLick the duplicate current frame button again on the animation pallet making a 3rd state. Now go to the layers pallet and make only the background and Logo visible Ok now you have the states of the animation set up... at the bottom of each state icon you'll see "0 sec." this is used to set the delay or how long the state will be visible before it switches to the next. tinker with it till you get the delay you want. Also at the bottom of the animation pallet you'll see in the bottom left corner a drop menu that allows you to play the animation "forever", "once" or a custom setting. I hope that helps... if you need anything else just post again. |
