Is it possible?

Is it possible to make an animated heart pulse, (like the green pulse in this picture) This Picture Click here

But that's animated an fading out as it movies to the right? It's hard to explain, and then there would be animated text with it... and then it woudl go to just a moving line, like no pulse.

I tried to look up a tutorial but couldn't find it. It sounds pretty hard.
