Hi, I'm a newbie!!! I've been using Photoshop CS for over a year. I'm quite experienced with using it, but there are so many tools a find a new one nearly everyday! Anyway, I've been using the Pen Tool for the past few months. It's a great tool, however, the thing that bugs me is that everytime I curve the line, the next point curves in an unwanted direction by default and it's very annoying! I don't know how to stop it! Does anyone know what I mean? |

Its a noted problem when using the pen tool. you have several options.... I'll give you a couple. 1) when you drag to curve the path drag in the direction of the next node you'll be placing. 2) after placing the node Option click (alt click for windows) it that will get rid of the leading node and stop it from taking the unwanted curve on the next node. |

I think I may have said this in another post, but you may find it helpful to use the 'rubber band' option while using the pen tool to draw curves. This gives you a kind of preview of the shape of your next line segment before you click to make it.
