how do you create a piercing effect |

hi. i have been looking around the web for photoshop tutorials of how to create an eyebrow piercing effect, and i have not found anything yet. so i was wondering if anyone out there would be able to help me cheers amchopper |

You can do this easily using a layer mask. Have the eyebrow on the background layer. Create another layer above it with the ear-ring on. Position the ear-ring over the eyebrow. On the ear-ring layer, create a layer mask. (click the icon third from left at bottom of layers palette, the one that looks like a circle inside a square) Choose a small, hard brush, and carefully paint in black on the layer mask where the ring would be under the skin. If you make a mistake and take too much of the ring away, you can paint it back in by switching from black to white and painting over your mistake. |
