Hello to all I never thought I would have a problem with photoshop, but unfortunatelly here it is )) I'm using it for 6 years already. (www.chris-art.net) I face this problem for a first time and I read in google but didn't find a solution, only this which didn't help to solve the problem. http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Graphics/Photoshop/Q_21808527.html So the problem is that I made a file and I need to save it for web. But photoshop changes the colors of the original file and gives me completely different colors when I use save for web, I tried to switch through all the color profiles which are suitable for web, also to change the proof setup, but no result so far. here is a screenshot of my problem the left picture is the original file - I want it to be in violet, but after save for web it is more blue than violet (see the right picture which is save for web window) http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/3914/tsviatum5.jpg Thank you very very much in advance for any solution of this problem. |

welcome to the group Christia, First thing is (and you've probably already done this) make sure your color profiles are the same in both Photoshop and Imageready. you can try trashing your prefs file in both applications. If you are on a windows machine tinker with your color managment in windows display properties. (remove monitor profiles etc. and see if that clears it up) Hope some of that helps. OH and wonderful work by the way! |

thank you very much for the reply I found the solution.... I can't believe ;))) fighting this two days ;)))) here it is if someone else have the same problem I use CS2 proof setup is different for monitor and windows and also save for web up menu has to be on uncompressed colors. here is a screenshot http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4518/untitled1sh3.jpg It is strange that the default setings were wrong. So the whole file 5 days work went wrong because I was creating it with this settings: view - proof setup - windows rgb and save for web god knows what.... so changing the settings in the save for web dialog only effects the preview, but changing the settings in proof setup on monitor rgb and then save the file with uncompressed colors and uplouding it or preview in browser , it gives the right color... so the correct has to be view ---> proof setup ----> monitor rgb and save for web ----> uncompressed colors. so this way you get in web what you see on your monitor. I corrected the file a little bit and now the result is ok) |
