I've created a web gallery without a problem, but the problem now is ...how would I host it? I have my own domain and webspace, but I figured I could upload everything from my destination folder in one upload...but freewebs.com won't let me do that. It let's me do it individualy. Do I need to upload every html file I have? Or the thumbs...or the pages... I'm completely lost. I'm surpised I made it this far. Anyway, any help is great with me. :D :o

You'd have to upload everything it put in that directory when you ran the web gallery script. Including all HTML files and images and thumbnails.

See if your host will let you upload using an FTP program, then you could upload all of the files at once. If not, consider getting a new host perhaps, or just put up with having to upload all those files one at a time.

Oh I didn't know I could use my FTP. I used that with JAlbums. I just downloaded Ipswitch that freewebs.com said to use...is it free or will I have to pay? Clearly since I'm on trial I take it I do have to pay. If I don't want to renew it, will I lose what I have transferred to my server? I don't think so...because FTP just transfers files...but I'm just double checking.

btw: will it be easy to add images to the gallery? I really want to make a screencap gallery for some of my favorite actors movies/tv shows for my website about them. I was just wondering so I know what I'm getting into.

I don't know anything about Ipswitch. I use a Mac. There are lots of free ftp programs for windows though, just look at download.com. If your FTP program expires, it does not affect the files you have uploaded to your server. You just wouldn't be able to do anything else with them until you registered it or found another program to use.

To add images to the gallery you'll have to completely re-create it and re-upload the files that changed. One big disadvantage of doing it with photoshop. There is lots of image gallery scripts out there that will make it much easier to maintain. Checkout hotscripts.com, or any number of free image gallery sites like flickr.com
