about ten minutes ago i was an active at adobe.com searching thru some of their forums, out of random, and i came across a question that stated: how do i edit a series of pictures in which i want the same affect applied to each picture in the series? the answer that was given was: apply all the affects you want to your picture and record that as a batch action and use that action to apply to the remaining series. that sounds like a great technique to learn. i myself would like to learn that. so, briefly, can anyone educate me on batching an action? |

Sure, Create a folder to hold all the images in the series and put them in that folder. Create another folder where you want PS to put them after its done its action. Open an image from the series and click "new action" on the actions pallete and name it. Then click the record button. Apply all effects and save the image in the file type you wish. (save it somewhere OTHER than the folders you created) Click the stop button on the actions pallet. Now go File>Automate>Batch In the Batch dialog, select the action you created, the source folder where all the images are located and the destination folder (the empty folder you created) make sure ALL the "override" selections are UNCHECKED and click OK you can watch PS take off and apply the effects all by itself. Hope that helps |
