How can I set transparency like when color is brighter it will be more transparent, eg. white is fully transparent, black is non-transparent, gray is 50% transparent, etc.. I would save png after that. There was already perfect example images, no need to make new ones: I want make this image... ..to like this: How the hell I do that? |

In layers palette, double click on background layer to make it a floating layer and give it a name. Then double click on the layer again to open the layer styles dialog box. Look for two sliding scales at the bottom of the dialog box. You need to use the top one, named 'This Layer'. You will see a small white pointer at the right side of the scale. Hold alt/option and click on this pointer. This will split the pointer in two. Slide the left side of the pointer to the left and the image background will start to become transparent. You need to move it to about 209.
