http://www.canmag.com/images/front/lap/scanner2.jpg I have tried playing around with filters and I just can't get the same results or even close. I have filmed a movie and seperated it into individual frames, and i want to apply a similar effect as that above to it. Any ideas? I want to be able to make it a automated process so that i can easily apply it to the other existing frames. |

problem is its not an automated process...you can try to fake it but the film is actually mostly hand-animated over the original film frames.

To achieve the clostest effect in a simple click, would be by the Cutout filter Just go to Filter > Artistic > Cutout But as Fig said there is no simple way of "replicating" that effect |

once you use the cutout filter, add a new layer ontop. take a thick brush and give all the outline stroke detailing. then maybe add a TINY bit of noise to the photo, not the line layer. -tim |
