I have about 2000 fonts installed on my iMac, however only about half (maybe even less) are showing up in Photoshop. Is there some kind of max that Photoshop can handle? Photoshop CS |

As far back as I can remember Adobe products have had problems with bloated numbers of fonts. The simple answer to your question is "yes" the is a max on fonts in photoshop. However Microsoft states there is a max number of fonts for windows also.... the remedy..... Font managment There are tons of font managment software choices out there so research it and get on one. Basically FM proggies allow you to turn fonts on and off in your system. Think about it when was the last time you used 2000 fonts in ANY layout? How about 100? Thing is most font utilities allow you to see a sample you like it you turn it on....the get to the next job you turn on the fonts you need for it... Check a few out...
