Photoshop CS2 slowing down??

I have a 2.4 gigahertz PC with a gig of DDR ECC Ram and a 64 meg video card and when running photoshop cs2 it seems to almost pause inbetween tool changing and selcting and deselecting things. anyone else have this problem? I seem to have the same problem on whatever PC I work on, I didnt have this problem in cs.
havent posted in forever, hopefully you guys can help out

maybe you should invest some hard-earned cash in a real version, not the juarez version?

but nope, i dont have that problem...although it did seem that after i installed CS2 it took my pbook longer to shutdown. maybe its just in my head.
