I'm working on a web page layout project on Adobe Photoshop CS and I was wondering: What effects should I apply to get a look for my top like those ones (I've got the shape) |

Oh that's an easy one. Just use Automated Talent™ or Instant Results™ You don't actually need to know anything about photosop - those will do all the work for you. As an alternate option you could always pay someone to make it for you |

Thanks for answering. I must admit that I'm a newbie and I've never heard of those 2 technologies. Could You give me an example of program that uses them? |

I apologize. It was maybe uncalled for. There are no such applications - they're infants of my sarcasm, born in a bad moment. there are no "effects" that would give you that exact look. For instance the menu band on the top is mostly gradients the "tentacle" at the bottom could be some creative use of bevel with a lot of options or it could be a lot of manual selections treated separately with various tools - either gradients or burn/dodge/colorchange... this is a good example of something that requires some actual experience with photoshop and not just a tutorial. |

I'l give a try anyway to make a tuturial for the bootom one :p. But it's just to make something that looks a bit similar; when u want the same quality I agree with mihai. Right click ur layer-->Blending options . Select "Bevel and emboss" . Increase size (in the "bevel and emboss"-options). Change the color black in the color of ur image (blue). Click Ok. |
