This is probably as beginner as it gets. I'm trying to create an image like the one below (just the red part), but have no idea where to start. Thanks for any help, John |

For that u must use the pen-tool. This is the way I would do it: just put the first dot(the pen-tool works with dots; little squares infact) on the place u want the shape to starts (where it is smallest), then click at the ending (the other "small place"). Then click ur first dot again. u should see a rather vertical linewith 2 little squares at the end. Now u must right-click the pen-tool and select the one with a + . Click the line between ur 2 dots. Drag ur new dot to the left. There still is a line between the 2 dots, click it to create ur last dot. Drag this one to the left as well. Now u can drag this 2 last dots till u have what u want. Grtz, doody |

Use Illustrator or Coreldraw to fix this quickly and sharply in any resolution. Then Use Photoshop for the good effects. 1. Draw two elipses horizontally, 2. Place one over the other, then weld (intersect etc.) to achieve the arc. 3. Rotate the image to your angle desired. 4. Export .eps into a folder, 5. Place into your PS file. This job could be done in less than 10 moves. Hope it helps, BillyTea http://www.australiasigns.com.au additional note: When drawing in the vector programs, use the color picker to determine the same colour values desired across all platforms. |
