I keep on getting a screen like this when I try to open an avi in Imageready. http://img99.exs.cx/img99/4659/untitled0gg.png For codecs I use ffdshow. I already got the latest Quicktime. I really want to edit some clips in Imageready. How do I fix it? |

Im not sure what updates have been added to imageready, but its really not for editing clips. You have a couple options depending on what your planning to do. First, I want to point out that this is a quicktime error, not image ready. 1) Open the avi in a player (quicktime maybe), and read the properties for codecs and whatever else it needs. That may give you a hint as to whats missing. 2) convert the video to another format. It's an avi, so there's lots of free software available to do so. You should be able to open the other format. Also you can select which codecs you want to use. Some software will even allow you to convert each frame to a bmp, that may be an option. There may be some avi to animated gif programs too. 3) Edit the clip outside of imageready. Virtualdub is a pretty good free program to use. |
