Standard printing file type question

Hi, I need to print some stuff in japanese. However, since illustrator doesn't seem to support chinese nor japanese, I've been using photoshop. Up to now whenever I print business cards or whatever, I've been sending the file type to the print shop as .ai. However, with photoshop, do I simply send the file over in .psd format? thanks

I'd use PDF, but in case of doubt, ALWAYS contact your print shop. THEY know what file they can accept.
