text layers help please !!!!!!!

i keep getting this message:
SOME TEXT LAYERS MIGHT NEED TO BE UPDATED BEFORE THEY CAN BE USED FOR VECTOR BASED OUTPUT. DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE THESE LAYERS NOW?
when i enter no, i get those little triangles with exclamation points next to each font layer. these are regular fonts, regular sized and nothing special about the font or file. everytime i add a new font layer into the file, it comes up with the same message. it didn't use to do this. what is the problem? someone please help. i've narrowed it down to the "arial" font that i'm using that gives me an error. any clues? thank you.

Duplicate a file that gives you this message, and click on 'yes'... what is the result?

clicking yes changes the font to a "new vibe" font. seems the only way to prevent this from happening is to not use the "arial" font. doesn't that seem a little strange?

What do you mean by "new vibe"?

i meant "new world vibe", which is a font i have. why it defaults to that particular font is a wonder as well.
