Make the path pop!?

Okay, here's the thing. I have a pic of a path surrounded by grass/trees leading up to a door. I want it to look as if the path/door pop out of the pic or at least look closer up or something.
I know there's another thread that would prolly help me, b/c I read it, but now I can't find it. I've already radial-zoom blurred the grass and trees and the rest of the building. And i tried to mess around w/ the perspective but I cant get it to look right.

Without looking at the result you've got so far, and the one that you're after, it is difficult to help you...
You could try to select the path, jump it to its own layer (CTRL+J) and put a drop or cast shadow under it.
