I want to create an effect where I have a piece of paper and I want to burn a hole through the middle. and like have the edges curling up or something with the flame coming out of the middle. I'll try to find an example so you can see. If you have any ideas or know of any good tuts, I would really appreciate the help. Okay, here's this pic. I would like to have somethin like this but have it still on fire. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/319766/2/Burned_Parchment.jpg Thanks in advance... |

To do such an effect, I use a layer style with inner glow, set to multiply or linear burn, with a black/very dark brown to brown gradient, ( fading to transparency) play with the size, choke, jitter... options. You can now "burn" your image using a layer mask and painting it in black at full opacity to make holes, and create burning marks when you lower the opacity of your brush tool on the mask. |
