How to? Magazine "Airbrush" Style

You know when you open a very posh magazine where the ladies look very Hollywood, perfect even. They have a gloss, a filter, a painted perfect look to them. I wish to accomplish this airbrushed style into a couple photos. The sorta flat look, like you might find in a Playboy or Glamour mag. Any thoughts on the idea?
