Any idea how to do this since I heard it was possible - say I have an scanned image with text in it - say the words 'Blue' in a certain font, I would like to change those words to the words 'Red' in the same exact font and font size. Any idea how to do this and which function do I invoke in Photoshop ? Please help thanks !

You need an OCR program (optical caracter recognition) and the exact same font installed on your computer.

technically that's true, but that's a bit of overkill. basically you just need to match it by eye, scanned text isn't editable. you can go to what the font to figure out what typeface is used, then you'll have to either download or purchase that font, create your text, and match it to the size of the type on the image. chris |
