I've run into this a thousand times, the reason for it is basically that Quark is printing the screen preview instead of the original image. Macs NEVER do this.... PC's almost always do it when printing an eps from Quark. There are a couple things you can do to change this. 1. whan saving an eps don't save it with a screen preview (this is what I do) the big problem with this method is in placing the image in Quark you don't have a reference point to make sure is is where you want it. 2. when saving an image as eps, pump up the resolution of the screen preview. This ads alot of size the the file but it will save you when accepting files from clients if you have them do this. Bottom line... PC's suck at this print graphics stuff. |
