radio station website critique

building a site for my school here in syracuse. was wondering if you guys could take a look at mainly the header image and give any critiques or suggestions you have. the link redirects to the forum, but i am basing the whole site layout on the layout of the forum. the main header image is what i'm spending the most time on, so be harsh if need be, i love constructive criticism. to me, it seems like something is missing. anywho, here is the link:

I like the design, the satellite is tad flat, considering the depth the "ring" gives, maybe try and bring it out more.
