How do you load up a new font.

I am new to photoshop and i don't know how to load up a new font for a project. How do you do it. thanks for your help.

Just drag the font into your C:\Windows\Fonts folder (or if you're using a mac OS X, ~/Library/Fonts ; OS 9 - just drag it into the System folder)

Then load up photoshop, and it should be in the dropdown list.

I did that but when i open up photoshop, the new fonts never show up. So what am i doing wrong?

You have to access the Fonts folder from the Control Panel.
