Hi I've had this problem when trying to take screen grabs from some of our real video content and then pasting it into photoshop to edit and work with. Basically what seems to happen, is that when pasted in, photoshop treats the area surrounding the video as a frame and then the video area itself bizarrely becomes a mask which the video continues playing through?!! We need to take grabs of a lot of our web content to put into print, which for the most part is no problem, quality issues aside, but this is proving to be both really baffling and quite frustrating! Anyone got any clues as to what might be causing it or any possible solutions? Cheers M |

There are programs to do that. Try googling for video screenshots or capture video etc.

I'm not 100% sure but I think I used Windows own Movie maker to take screen shots of movie clips.

Thanks for the replies.. Im mac based so dont have the windows movie maker unfortunately. and Geassel, we've got a fair amount of video editing software here (media 100, final cut etc...) but its nothing that complicated that I want to do. Imagine a webpage with frame, headers, titles etc... and just a small square of video playing... I just want to do a screen grab of the whole page for use in presentations, print etc.. and thats where it ****s up!! Have a go and see if you see what I mean! |

I know what you ment, and I ment what i said. No fancy programs needed, try this freeware one for example, should work I guess but I'm not gonna try... http://www.download.com/ACA-Capture-Pro/3000-2192_4-10283737.html?tag=lst-0-2 |
