Painting with sampled texture

Please can somebody tell me how to sample a texture, rather than a colour, within an image, and then paint with this sampled texture elsewhere, much as you would sample a colour with the eyedropper and then paint with that. I hope this is clear!

The Healing Brush and the Stamp Tool was made just for that. :o
