If I add a lense flare to a solid background I can change the color by going to image, adjustments, color balance. However if i create a picture and then add a lense flare and do the same thing, the entire picture changes rather than just the lense flare. Is there a way to just change the color of the lense flare? Thanks! Dave |

Create a new layer above where you need the lens flare, and fill it with either solid black or white. Make the lens flare on the new layer and change the blend mode to either multiply or screen. Link the two layers and Ctrl+E to merge the layers, if this messes up the blend mode of the layer put a blank layer above it and then link and merge them. Ctrl+U to alter the hue and saturation of the final result. I think I have got the right end of the stick here. |

In the layers palette (bottom right of the screen) You should see a little checkbox next to each layer. For a better description press F1 (no offense, it will be easier in the long run)

Cyberdata, do you know that you can search for your name, or click in your profile, to find your own posts, were you already asked the very same question, and received the very same answer?
