Hey I'm having trouble making a spray paint/stencil look on one of my photos,

I want to have the spray paint look messy with the spray paint overlapping the edge of the stencil, and I want to have add some paint drool to make it look realistic.

Here is what I've done

How can I make it look better?

Thanks

Well, if it were me I might do something like first actually make the stencil using Paths. Then use a custom brush tip that simulated splattered paint. Then rasterize the vector mask and apply the mask. And finally add just a hint of displacement filter using one of the color channels of the backdrop to make the spray paint match the surface of whatever it's painted on.

Personally if I were to spray paint something like this in real life I wouldn't let it drip ;) but maybe someone else here can help ya with the dripping part.

I made the stencil using paths, and the brush I used was the spary paint or spray can brush, or something like that.
I'll try using the displacement filter, any other tips, you can never have too many tips.

Hey, Great mini tutorial so far, I was just wondering how you add the displacement filter? Can't seem to figure out how to do it.
