sure,well i made an image in Paint which i want to post on my website.So i saved it and i opened it in photoshop 5 to make it transparent, so theres a white box around the image ,i need to make the image transparent.i hope all this makes sense. if ne one can help me u would really explain it in full detail cuz ive posted this in other forums and it seems quite mind boggling so i htought i would post this in here cuz the other ones were not for photoshop lol |

double click your magic wand tool..... in the options pallet set it to like 15 click anywhere on the white area you would like to get rid of. You'll see a marquee appear (marching ants) now do a ctr+shift+I now you should see the marquee just around what you want to keep. do a ctr+J now in the layers pallet you'll have 2 layers delete the one named "background" File>save for web> image type = .gif make sure "transparent" is checked save thats about as cookbook as I can get at the moment... if that doesn't help post back and we'll try again/. *edit* I just noticed you asked about version 5 ....sorry what I just posted is foe version 6 but U23 took care of you. |
